I took these pictures back in January of my wood supply for next winter. I’ve slowed down a bit with my splitting but I’m getting back into it.
Last year I picked up some logs from the brush pile at the dump. I ended up with a nice haul of wood. That pile of wood is perfect for my Husqvarna Battery Powered Chainsaw.
This is my Husqvarna Battery Powered Chainsaw chewing through logs like that pile. The battery saw is a lot lighter than gas, easier to start and just as fast cutting logs that size.
I have a small pile of logs to cut into splittable lengths. Unfortunately, the logs on top of the pile have started to rot. I’ve been cutting up these logs and putting them in my dump truck to take to the dump for recycling. I’m going to see if a friend wants the ‘waste’ for his outdoor wood boiler. I have plenty of wood for next year and by the time I burn this, it will be too far gone.
Under the blue tarp is my Timberwolf Log Splitter, under the brown tarp to the right is wood that is split and dry for this year, and under the brown tarp of the left is wood that is dry but has to be cut for this year. The pile of the wood right of the blue tarp is being split and stored for next year. That pile has about two cords by now.
Here’s a video I of my Timberwolf Splitter from years ago that is stored under the blue tarp. It’s a great all-around splitter and I love the table to catch wood after it’s split. Less bending is always a good thing.
I’ll post some more woodpile pictures soon. The weather has been nice and I’ve been making progress.
